AFINGO Fashion Forum Los Angeles

By Unknow User April 20, 2011 at 12:25pm

The AFINGO Fashion Forum returns to Los Angeles on Thursday, May 5 with its signature series of topical discussions -- in this instance specifically geared to the fashion industry in the Los Angeles area.

Featuring an eclectic and accomplished group of speakers – from a pro surfer turned eco fashion designer to a clutch of top celebrity stylists – the event will take place at the California Market Center, 110 East 9th Street (at Main Street). For registration information visit: http://affla.eventbrite.com/.

Mirroring AFINGO’s online offering, the AFINGO Fashion Forum seeks to address the questions facing emerging designers, removing barriers to their success. This particular event will examine why West Coast culture is relevant to the fashion industry now more than ever; crack the code of how to dress young Hollywood; explore the viability of sustainability and philanthropy as part of a for-profit business; and of course discuss the best ways to help independent designers launch a successful line. The moderated discussions provide an ideal platform for speakers to share their experience and expertise. Each panel will be followed by a 45-minute networking session to facilitate interaction among panelists and attendees.

24seven Luncheon

To create an additional platform for networking, 24seven (www.24seventalent.com) will be hosting an invitation-only luncheon on site for panelists and 50 VIP ticket holders from 12:15-1:45PM.

Charitable Partner

A portion of the proceeds from the day-long series of discussions in Los Angeles will benefit the non-profit Surfrider Foundation.
