AFINGO Fashion Forum New York: Sustainability and Philanthropy Excerpt

By August 15, 2011 at 11:50am

Sustainability is a big topic in the world of fashion these days, and with each innovation comes new avenues for business. The Sustainability and Philanthropy Panel at the AFINGO Fashion Forum New York focused heavily on this aspect, bringing a voice to both the environmental issues the industry faces and the opportunities it now possesses. Sitting in on this important discussion were Costello Tagliapietra co-founders and designers Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra, Goods for Good founder Melissa Kushner, Lulu Frost founder Lisa Salzer, eco-model and founder of Source4Style, Summer Rayne Oakes, fashion consultant Julie Gilhart, and Eco-Chick publisher (and AFINGO contributor) Starre Vartan. This is a short clip from the Sustainability and Philanthropy panel, which was moderated by Inhabitiat.com founder Jill Fehrenbacher.

The next AFINGO Fashion Forum will be held August 23 in Las Vegas as part of Sourcing at MAGIC. You can see the full list of panelists and registration information here.
